I'm amazed at the reaction. He was reading from government documents about government actions. He didn't make it up, and his opinions are in line with reality.

It was the testimony of an FBI agent, a federal law enforcement officer, who certainly is aware of interrogation procedures and the definitions of torture in federal law.

How long can these people deny reality?

As long as it's to their (perceived) political advantage would be my guess. Nice Polite Republicans had the usual outraged quote from the Spokes-Hamster this morning, demanding that Durbin apologize.

Ha! If anybody should be apologizing, Scotty, it's your boss and the people who work for him, for encouraging the kinds of things that Durbin had the balls to read into the Senate record.
