Sorry for the lack of posting this week--I've been wicked busy. And I'll be in D.C. for most of next week, so probably a light week there, too. But let's have a little music, shall we?
The rules: Take out your iPod or other musical device. Put it in "random" mode. Hit "play." Write down the first ten tracks that come up--and no fair putting in ones you think will make you look cool, or omitting ones that make you look like a total dork.
Here are mine for today:
- Drink the Night Away (Gaelic Storm, Herding Cats)
- Incredible Bittersweet (The Judybats, Pain Makes You Beautiful)
- Wisconsin (Lewis Black, The White Album)
- Watermark (Enya, Watermark)
- Act IV, Finale, "Gente, gente, all'armi, all'armi!" (London Symphony Orchestra/Sir Georg Solti, Mozart: Le Nozze di Figaro)
- Bransle de Poictou/La bono nouvello (The Boston Camerata, A Renaissance Christmas)
- Psalm 117: Laudate Dominum omnes gentes (Choir of King's College, Cambridge, Gregorian Chant)
- The Same Old Sun (Alan Parsons Project, Vulture Culture)
- Sonata in B flat major, K. 333, ii. Andante cantabile (Daniel Barenboim, Mozart: The Piano Sonatas)
- God Alone is Enough (John Michael Talbot, Signatures)
Your absence has been noted. I think this week was the first time ever that I've had nothing to include from you in the FB yesterday.
I was worried.
