The rules: Take out your iPod or other musical device. Put it in "random" mode. Hit "play." Write down the first ten tracks that come up--and no fair putting in ones you think will make you look cool, or omitting ones that make you look like a total dork.
Here are mine for today:
- Sonata in C Major, K. 279, i. Allegro (Daniel Barenboim, Mozart: The Piano Sonatas)
- Gregorio Allegri: Miserere (The Sixteen, Renaissance: Music for Inner Peace)
- Next Year (Foo Fighters, There Is Nothing Left to Lose)
- Thomas Tomkins: When David Heard That Absalom Was Slain (The Sixteen, Renaissance: Music for Inner Peace)
- Suspicion (Asia, Astra)
- Concerto for Three Harpsichords No. 2 in C Major, BWV 1064, i. Allegro (The English Concert, Bach: Complete Harpsichord Concertos)
- In Nomine a 5 (Fretwork, Armada: Music from the Courts of England and Spain)
- Last Beautiful Girl (Matchbox 20, Mad Season)
- Listen (Tears for Fears, Songs from the Big Chair)
- Das Wohltempierte Klavier, Book I, Prelude in C sharp minor, BWV 849 (Daniel Barenboim, J. S. Bach: The Well Tempered Clavier, Book 1)
I think you're the only person who will openly admit to having Astra on your iPod. I had it on cassette back when it first came out, and I think I still have Alpha on vinyl, but I haven't listened to Asia in years, except in "The Forty Year Old Virgin."

I have the first three albums on my iPod, actually. Astra was the worst of the bunch, but there are still a couple of good tracks on it. They were big when I was in college the first time, and the guy I had a crush on at the time was a huge fan. Probably one reason why I still like their stuff ;-9
